Puppy and Kitten Care

Welcoming a new furry addition to your family is a very exciting time but making sure all their healthcare needs are met can be confusing.  For puppies and kittens, starting off on the right foot can go a long way making sure they have a healthy and happy life.  Puppies and kittens should stay with their mother until they are 8 weeks old.  Once they are this age, not only is it time for them to make the transition to your home, it's time to start their vaccines and deworming series.

Vaccines will allow your pet to continue to build immunity against deadly diseases.  When these vaccines are first given, it is important that they are given with specific timing/schedule to properly build immunity.

Deworming is important because most young puppies and kittens are infested with intestinal parasites.  Dogs and cats should be on a deworming medication every month for life to easily prevent illness caused by these parasites

Below you will find the vaccine and deworming schedule recommended for puppies and kittens.
